De Peperbus
De Peperbus (‘The Peppermill’), also known as Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren (Tower of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Asuncion) is the ultimate symbol of the city of Zwolle. From the top of the 75-metre high tower, you are rewarded with a fantastic view over the city and the surrounding area.
De Peperbus provides access to the church and the bell tower of the Onze Lieve Vrouwenbasiliek.
De Peperbus is open for viewing (and climbing) from Monday up to and including Saturday.

De Sassenpoort
Built in 1406, this gate is one of Zwolle’s best preserved monuments and has a rich history. This former city gate dates back to the Hanseatic period in Zwolle, and is surely worth a visit.
Grote of St. Michaëlskerk (The Great or St. Michael’s Church)
This large, triple-nave church was built during the period 1406 - 1466 and is located on the Grote Markt (the main market square). The church features old murals, a four-manual organ and a beautiful pulpit. The tombs dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries and a historical clock provide an indication of the church’s rich history.
